throwback to italia!

okay, since i really didn’t keep up with this thing earlier in the semester, there’s a lot to say about italia. so i have a feeling that this will become a 434 part series, not unlike stephen colbert’s “better know a district.” (congressional district, that is.) [side note, i’m not really sure whether i’m supposed to put the period outside the parens when the entire sentence is inside… so i’m a little nervous to publish this given that my older sister is a little bit fanatic about grammar…]

ANYWAY the topic of throwback to italia today is going to be the obsession with american things– namely, the english language, american brands, starbucks, and vampires (though whatever pattison person is british, right?). please examine the following (*NOTE* all of these were taken at a medium/high-end  store in genova, where my very stylish cousin and her friends shop, not some tourist trappy-street vendor):
